Hi Rasit,

The developers do not have a fix for this yet. I will update the ticket when they do.

In the meantime, you can program the nRF5340 DK using either VS Code or command line. For VS Code please see nRF Connect extensions for VS Code for documentation and how to use this to build and program an application. On command line you can either use west:

west flash

Or you can use nrfjprog:

nrfjprog -f NRF53 --coprocessor CP_NETWORK --program zephyr/zephyr.hex --chiperase

nrfjprog -f NRF53 --program zephyr/zephyr.hex --chiperase

Hi Marte,

I tried both commands (with coprocessor flag and without). But the same error occurs. I've tried on two different nRF5340 boards. A coworker tried a third board. Same error for all of us. It seems to be an error on Macs, because I've received confirmation that it works fine on PCs. Looking at the log it looks like the async task for loading read back protection status seems to fail, and about a second later it receives the callback for Readback protection status. One in a couple hundred tries you can actually get the program to work by plugging and unplugging and hoping that it gets that callback before the error is thrown. I'm running macOS Monterey 12.3.1 on an x86 machine. I've attached log below. Let me know if you need more information.

Hi,

Have you tried recovering the nRF5340 to disable readback protection? To recover the chip run the following commands:

nrfjprog --recover --coprocessor CP_NETWORK
nrfjprog --recover

Make sure to recover the network core before recovering the application core. For more information see Working with nRF5340 DK » Readback protection.
