 We have to program an external QSPI flash which is connected to an nrf52840 SoC using the J-Flash application from SEGGER.

&lt;p&gt;That would indicate that the a pin reset and a soft reset has been performed. Do you perform any of this through the debugger? Are you using a DK or a custom board? Is the Reset pin routed out?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Can you read the register directly by using nRF Command line Tools like this:&lt;/p&gt;
