Sounds like you will need to contact your local Regional Sales Manager to get a new device, or get a hold of a JLink device to program the Thingy:91 using an external debug probe e.g. nRF9160DK

I've been trying to reproduce, but I'm not able. Does it not show as Thingy:91 in the programmer app?

You are correct.
TIs this file i used "img_fota_dfu_hex\thingy91_nrf52_connectivity_bridge_2022-02-17_ec486dab.hex"

However, to program using SW3 the thingy91 does not get detected . No COM port for me to connect and download the firmware.

I assume that you are using img_fota_dfu_hex\thingy91_nrf52_connectivity_bridge_2022-02-17_ec486dab.hex

This should be enough to put Thingy:91 nRF9160 into MCUBoot mode, holding SW3 while powering the device on. The device will show in Programmer app as Nordic Thingy:91. And you should now be able to progra e.g. img_fota_dfu_hex\thingy91_asset_tracker_v2_ltem_2022-02-17_ec486dab.hex

Hi Øyvind,

my thingy91 is ver. 1.6.0

the nrf5xxx i programmed it in MCUboot , with sw select on nrf52 and DFU mode with sw 4 The file i use was the file thingy91_nrf52_connectivity_bridge_2022-02-17_ec486dab.hex

for the nRF91xx i switched sw select to nrf91xxx and try DFU mode with sw 3 and powering. However no COM port is detected , so no download possible.

What version of the Thingy:91 are you using? This is visible on the sticker inside located on the PCB.

What firmware are you referring to? How did you program this?
