I am doing current measurements on nrf9160dk while sending ~1kb json file through mqtt. I am following this guide: https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ug_nrf91_dk/UG/nrf91_DK/hw_measure_current.html .

I am confused because my power supply

RE: Current measurement on NRF9160

Hi

Are you sure your power supply doesn't state the ~300mA as the maximum draw, while the oscilloscope is measuring the actual current draw you're seeing? You can use the nRF91 Online Power Profiler to get an estimate of the current you should see if you play around a bit with the configurations on the left hand side to suit what your application does. If your actual current measurements differ a lot from those, that points to something being set up in either your measurement setup or in your application.

Best regards,
