I'm trying to use RSSI Viewer for my custom board - problem is I need to change UART pin.
How do I make my own FW/binary for RSSI viewer?
My custom board uses nRF52833.
I tried to use Segger Studio and just tried to build https://github

RE: rssi viewer with different uart pin

Happy to know you make it work and thanks for the sharing.

nrf52833(pin modified) and nrf52840!

SDK17.1 S140

put it in sdk/example/peripheral

tell RSSI Viewer no and just wait till it works

no promise though

test-devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../z_5F00_rssi_5F00_build2.zip

EDITS: you might want to modify nrf_drv_uart.c and nrf_drv_uart.h

RE: rssi viewer with different uart pin

Hi,
In pc-nrfconnect-rssi/fw/src there are two main: rssi_cdc_acm and rssi_uart, what does each represent?
CDC ACM is for the 52840 dongle since that is the serial port emulated by the USB stack running on the nordic chip. UART is for the serialport from JLink.
About the Bluetooth: Observer, do you have other version for SDK17/segger studio? I am not familiar with sdk-zephyr
Unfortunately, no. Only the NCS. You can take a look at NCS Getting started guide.

Yes, we did get nRF52833DK to work, it just that our customized-nRF52833DK didn't (it did work, it just that due to modified UART pins we couldn't get any information).

It should be able to program the nRF53833DK by the RSSI app. Can you try that?

We don't have the project as your requirement, but you could use NCS and the Bluetooth shell which has a scan feature for Bluetooth devices, this includes RSSI values in the scan result. Have a look at this example Bluetooth: Observer
