There is a new version of the Programmer out with a fix. Can you try installing it and see if the problem is solved there? If you still get this error with the new version, please let me know and I will inform the developers.

I did the downgrade by uninstallung nrf Connect for desktop and re-installing the older version
I also started to run this stuff in VMs because nrf Connect and tools is not always willing to downgrade properly

I just downgraded my system to 3.11.0 and the problem is still there ...

I had the same problem just after I updated nRF Connect for Desktop to v3.11.1. And solved after reverted to v3.11.0

Hi,

Thank you for reporting this. I will forward it to the developers. Please gather logs from the Programmer with verbose logging enabled and upload it here:

Make sure the nRF9160 DK is connected to your computer and turned on.
In Programmer go to the 'About' tab and enable verbose logging.
Select 'Restart with verbose logging'.
After the app restarts select the nRF9160 DK so that you get the error.
Click on 'open log file' at the bottom of the terminal.
Either save the log file somewhere and upload it here with Insert -> Image/video/file, or copy the contents of the log file and go to Insert -> Code then paste the log there.

Hi, I have the same problem, same app versions. We also use the Flash Programmer often, but we also use Segger Embedded Studio, which still works with the current version of JLink. This is on Windows 10.

Error message from Programmer:

22:39:28.142 Using nrf-device-lib version: 0.11.8

22:39:28.142 Using nrfjprog DLL version: 10.15.4

22:39:28.142 Using JLink version: JLink_V7.58b
