We have a pre-production design of a custom board that has an nRF5340 on it. We have built and programmed about 60 boards of this design without any issues using Macs with Intel processors. Yesterday, we tried to program two boards using an M1

RE: nrf5340 bricked after being programmed with a Mac M1

Hi,

I don't see any reasons for Mac being the culprit. Do you have external inductors for the DC/DC on your custom board? Could you share your schematics? I can convert the case to private first if you prefer it.

regards

3.3V on both. I doubt it’s a hardware issue as other boards from the same run work fine. It’s like programming them with the M1 caused the debug port to lock.

Thanks,

When you program the board, what voltage do you measure directly on:

RESET pin

VDD pins
