I get to work this morning and updated the app and thought my day was ruined.
I have since worked out a way to roll back to v3.0.0 which should get you back up and running (and any others).

This applies to Windows 10.
1. Browse to %USERPROFILE%/.nrfconnect-apps

2. Modify updates.json so that the pc-nrfconnect-programmer reads 3.0.0

3. Run the nrf connect for desktop app and quickly click update on the programmer app. It should say v3.0.0 is available.
- if you are too slow the app will search for updates from the Nordic server and 3.0.0 will no longer be available

Hi fdup78,

I can confirm that same is happening on nRF52840 dongle. When I press write button, I get message in log "Does not need to be reloaded:...". Lets just hope someone will pick this bug soon.
