&lt;p&gt;First off, I think you should check out the &lt;a href="https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/2.0.0/nrf/migration/migration_guide_1.x_to_2.x.html"&gt;Migration notes for nRF Connect SDK v2.0.0&lt;/a&gt; which goes through what to do to move any project from 1.x.x to 2.x.x.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As for how to set up build configurations, partitions and so on in the nRF53 series devices, please check out our &amp;quot;&lt;a href="https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/ug_nrf5340.html"&gt;Working with nRF5340 DK&amp;quot; section in the documentation&lt;/a&gt;, which should cover that as well as some other things to keep in mind with the nRF53 series.&lt;/p&gt;
