This is very annoying and full of outdated stuff that does NOT MATCH WHAT YOU MAKE AVAILABLE!!!:

I'm trying to build use ble_app_hids_keyboard_pca10040_s112 on a NRF52805 minimal board BC805M, no dev kit.

- nRF5_SDK_17.0.0_9d13099 is nowhere to be found and 17.0.2 is NOT CLOSE ENOUGH

- PCA10040 is mentioned but then files from PCA10040e are described

- RAM has to be changed to RAM1, or RAM1 to RAM and FLASH1 to FLASH in "Flash_Placement.xml" (from other posts) then for the keyboard example with S112 also must change

#define NRFX_PRS_ENABLED 1; '#define UART_LEGACY_SUPPORT 0' in sdk_config.h

Then it builds, it programs, and IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!!!

So many mistakes, so much work for something that doesn't work.

Other documents (nRF5 Series: Developing with SEGGER Embedded Studio v1.3) are so old they don't even mention the 52805.

Another question - If I replace or add the patch files (in most case they are replace) what will happen when I try and build the same application using the S140 SoftDevice? I have renamed the replaced files with suffix 'hk' of 'ck' in case I need to restore the original files when the nRF82805 emulation fails.

I completely failed trying to do this. But then again I do not have the nRF52 DK but the nRF52840 DK. There were several things (mostly UI related) which were different.

If I use the nRF52840 DK as an external debugger to program the dongle, will I be able to get log output in the same manner I do when running the code on the DK? I have a situation where my code runs fine on the DK but does not properly reset when run on the dongle so I am in a situation where I am forced to do code development on the dongle to find out why it fails on the dongle but runs fine on the DK.

One challenge I have is that a program that I developed on the DK works fine but when run on the dongle it fails after a call NVIC_SystemReset(). So I am in a desperate need of debugging the dongle, since the DK does not provide a perfect simulation of the dongle. Is there any tutorial for those who are stuck in my situation, an app that works fine on the DK does not work on the dongle.

Not exactly a simple workflow - how about a nice GUI to do this ? We don't all have time to learn a toolchain to this level so a GUI to do it for us is the way forward.

Hi, I'll like to test sniffer on a dongle nrf52840, I will download the hex file (sniffer_nrf52840dongle_nrf52840_7cc811f.hex) with programmer, but he give me an error: "Nordic DFU Trigger Interface was not found. Please physically reset device." Do you know what I did wrong ?

Same issue as below for SES, it says to remove files, they are not in the project, then add firles, where are the files, I cannot locate them. There was no answer below, is someone at Nordic looking at this?

Out of date. Noi longer applies to version 5.4.2. The UI is completely different and I cannot find any of these fields.
