If you need DFU then the answer is no, there is not enough space to for instance use OPUS.

In nRF52810, you can use ADPCM or SBC codecs.

Smart Remote 3 v1.2 (new release) supports nRF52810 and nRF52832. On nRF52810 you can choose ADPCM or SBC (including mSBC), on nRF52832 you can choose ADPCM, SBC, Broadvoice or Opus.

The reason for this limitation is that larger codecs (Opus, Broadvoice) will not fit into the nRF52810 memory.

NCS1.9.99,  VScode,

my nRF52840-DK test broadvoice32,encode one framer take 20ms,

decode oley 2ms.
