Nrf9160 FW update using external flash

1) What was the  process to achieve MCUboot from external flash?

2) What are the configurations for it?

3) Any sample example are present for reference?

1. I don't know what you mean by this question. Can you elaborate?

2. and 3. I think you can find by looking at the external_flash test sample. It shows what the config and overlay should look like for other boards. You might be able to modify it to work for nrf9160.

See my first question was how can I use my external flash as my slot-1 instead of internal flash slot-1.

basically slot -0 will be my internal flash

slot-1 will be my External flash.

So my restart, the Slot-1 should overwrite the SLot-0.

My requirement doesn't involve the cellular feature. so i commented all the cellular part and tested the application then i got this error.

'PM_mcuboot_secondary_ID' undeclared (first use in this function); did you mean 'PM_mcuboot_primary_ID'?

How can i resolve this issue to go further?

Can you post any .conf files and pm_static.yml in the project? Did you add any code?
