Get long range via bluetooth.

Hi, I am using nrf52840 to senda imu data over bluetooth to computer. For the transmitter i am using NINAB306 with integrated PCB antenna as a central i use nrf52 dongle. I and using uart example.on both of them and i set tx power on conn to 8. I get 17 ms latency while beeing 40 cm away but after 2 m i get 17 ms - 150 ms range which is bad because i use it to calculate quaterions. Can i get decent reading speed with a little bit higher range? Is there any other way to set power or anything?

  • Hi,

I presume that it is a custom PCB with the NINAB306 module, are you able to teste the range with a that board and a different board? Want to know if it is because of the dongle or the custom PCB that range is not optimal.

If you want i can do a HW review of the custom board.

Are you in noisy environment (lots of other 2.4GHz radio activity) or is the two devices obstructed by walls or other obstacles?

    Regards,
    Jonathan
