Get long range via bluetooth.

Hi,

I presume that it is a custom PCB with the NINAB306 module, are you able to teste the range with a that board and a different board? Want to know if it is because of the dongle or the custom PCB that range is not optimal. 

If you want i can do a HW review of the custom board. 

Are you in noisy environment (lots of other 2.4GHz radio activity) or is the two devices obstructed by walls or other obstacles?

Yes it is custom board made for our use case it has BMX160 IMU and we need to stream data via bluetooth. I am testing it in the long hallway (20 m) and after 2 m i get data between 20 - 500 ms which is bad. I can send you design of the PCB (antenna is integrated with chip NINA B306) i am considering using PIFO antenna (NINA B302 www.digikey.pl/.../9818004) because the device is near human body (handheld device). It is some kind of real time computer mouse. I do not have any other device with NRF52840 apart of nano 33 ble with NINA B306 and nrf dongle. I set adv tx power and after 20 m i still have -78 db on adv.

is the antenna blocked or obstructed by anything? could be casing or human hand ect. Have you checked with U-blox if you followed the recommendations for how to integrate in in your custom design?
