nRF91 thingy asset tracker without LTE-M or NB-IoT

Is it possible to build an asset tracker on the nRF91 without the use of LTE-M or NB-IoT? If there is a solution, could someone please advise. I read something about GNSS but I'm not sure if you can use this without LTE-M or NB-IoT.

FYI I can't use LTE-M or NB-IoT because it is not available in my region.

Hello, The GNSS is available without LTE-m or NB-IoT, you can change the modem function to only configure GNSS and not LTE with e.g. CFUN=20. The Thingy:91 has both a nRF9160 and a nRF52840, based on that…

Hello,

The GNSS is available without LTE-m or NB-IoT, you can change the modem function to only configure GNSS and not LTE with e.g. CFUN=20. The Thingy:91 has both a nRF9160 and a nRF52840, based on that the nRF91 handles the GNSS, and the nRF52840 handles the BLE connection to e.g. smart phone.

Unfortunately, I do not have any official samples. You might be able to use the nRF9160: Serial LTE modem application for this purpose.
