im using sdk 17.1 with segger embedded studio v6.2a and nrf52840. I am trying to use the uart example and it gives an error no name type found "__printf_tag_ptr". I searched for this problem here. A couple of answers suggested that i try a previous segger version which was used for testing of the sdk im using. So i tried installing segger v5.42a.It gave me an error " Output/Debug/Obj/uart_pca10056/thumb_crt0.o: in function `_start':" any suggestions how to get it to work ? thank you,
The following toolchains/devices have been used for testing and verification:
- ARM: MDK-ARM version 5.25
- GCC: GCC ARM Embedded 9.2020-q2.major
- IAR: IAR Workbench 7.80.4
- SES: SES 5.42a
Does this happen to the stock example from the SDK? You haven't made any changes to the example?
thank you for your response, it happened in the stock example without making any changes but, i got it working i had to replace the thumbcrt0.o file with a version that i downloaded
