I try to get the Direct Test Mode App to work on a Windows 10 Notebook. (for System Details see attached system report and verbose logfile).
Software versions:
- nRF Connect for Desktop v3.11.0
- Direct TestMode v2.0.1
I use a USB to Serial Converter (FTDI TTL232R-3V3) to connect a custom PCB with an nRF52840. DTM Firmware compiled for this board is flashed to the device. The I/O-Voltage levels have been changed to 3.3V with the nRF command line tools.
The DTM app does not find the USB serial port. When i click on "Select device", it only shows the message"Connect a Nordic development kit to your computer". The driver for the USB serial port is installed. Windows device manager reports it as "COM3" and working properly.
On a different PC, same USB serial cable, same PCB connected, and same version of the app, the device is correctly displayed, i can connect to the DTM firmware running on the board and control the settings. Device appears as "TTL232R-3V3 FTASVGHG" in the list.
Taking this working PC to the RF test lab is not an option, as it is not mobile. I need to get the App to work on the Notebook. Can you help me with that?
Best regards
Frank
