LFCLK output for BLE use

Question

Hi!

The nRF9160 has a nice, accurate LFXO integrated. I'm assuming that it's also active most of the time anyway to provide timing for the modem (assuming one is using the modem). Is there any way I could output this clock for BLE LFCLK into an nRF52? Or is my assumption about the LFXO being enabled most of the time false?

 This is not recommended. And there is no way to directly use the LFXO of the nrf9160 as a output.  The LFXO on time will be determined by the application, but also if the 9160 will be put in system off mode or not. So for many applications it will be on most of the time. Regards, Jonathan
