JLink programmer not seen in tools anymore

SES IDE, nor nrfConnect programmer tool sees the JLink programmer attached to my PC. No "idcode" in SES. No devices appear in Programmer.

Windows10.

JLink_Windows_V764e_x86_64

Nrf-command-line-tools-10.15.4-x64

Nrfconnect 3.11.0

I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple combinations of versions above. This list is the last set I've used that works.

This is not an EVK it’s a SEGGER Jlink programmer connected to custom hardware.

It shows up as Jlink Driver under Device Manager->USB and I can't see any other device/port/etc. in device manager that may be it. The properties of the driver say it's working.

Thank you,

Alex

  • The fix is to the issue where the JLINK device does not show up in nRF Connect for Desktop apps, If you are not able to use the debugger in other environments, like in a terminal with nrfjprog commands then the issue might be somewhere else.

So If the JLINK device does not show up in SES, any nRF app or in VS code then are you sure the device works? doe the same JLINK programmer work on other computers?
