current consumption does not become low after sd_power_system_off

hello,

i am using nrf52832 with accelarometer i want to put my board in shutdown for current consumption for that i am giving this command sd_power_system_off(); whenever required using lbs service but my current does become low but it gets low whenever i powerup the device again

my codes goes like this

flash() //from here i will get value 0 or 1 // 0 using ble and then store it in flash  // 1 long press  initialy 1

{

power_management_init();
wakeup_timer_init();
lfclk_request();
gpio_for_wakeup();
sd_power_system_off();

}

i will restart my device after giving command from ble so that program will directly come to else part and then i wakeup after 10 seconds button press using timer

my board consumes 12 micro amps

after giving command also 12 microamps

if i turn off and on again it consumes only 3 micro amps

how can i achieve that 3 micro amps while running with turn off

Please try to see what you measure if you insert the following code at the beginning of main():

NRF_POWER->SYSTEMOFF = 1; for (;;);

If you are only measuring the current going into the nRF IC, then you should expect get closer to 0.3 uA as specified in the PS (Current consumption, sleep )

hello,

after giving this NRF_POWER->SYSTEMOFF = 1; no change

i am having twi advertising lbs service gpio dfu service app timers and lfclck enabled do i have to disable anything before going into sleep i have tried disabling gpio and twi but that didnt work

Hello,

Did you call NRF_POWER->SYSTEMOFF = 1; for(;;); at the very beginning of main() before all your other init functions? There is no reason this should not have worked (provided the chip is not in debug interface mode - Emulated System OFF mode)

i have reduced the power consumption..thanks now i have other problem after putting the board in sleep whenever i use the pin to wakeup device goes directly to dfu mode i am using pin number 13 in nrf52832

with buttonless dfu service include on my device

Please make sure the NRF_BL_DFU_ENTER_METHOD_BUTTON setting is disabled in your bootloader's configuration file if you don't intend to use a button for entering DFU mode.
