Low power beacon enabling connectivity as UART

I want to develop a low power device which enables connectivity for reading and writing data to its internal flash. The access should be with NRF_UART application

The access will be once every week, so it is important to save power during most of the time - as beacon.

Is there a way to switch to NRF_UART once the beacon is connected from an App?

Hello,

Are you refering to the UART driver/peripheral when you say "NRF_UART"? In that case, you can use the CONNECT and DISCONNECT events from the Softdevice to trigger initialization and uninitalization of the peripheral. Note that the UART consumes about 1mA when enabled with RX.
