nRF52832 working in a site with lots of Bluetooth signals

We designed an industrial gateway to communicate with sensors through Bluetooth. Both use nrf52832 chipset. However, there are many Bluetooth signals on the customer's site, and there are some Bluetooth broadcasting devices that broadcast every 3MS. I want to know whether nrf52832 can work normally under this condition? Is it easy to lose packets?

  • Hi,

By "Both use nrf52832 chipset" did you mean the the gateway and the sensor data collecting unit? If yes, then I don't think there might be an interference/packet loss due to other devices. That being said, Bluetooth interference will occur in case of a large number of devices, but the BLE devices incorporate the frequency hopping technique and hence interference will be taken care of and also, bluetooth interference is a fairly rare scenario.. But please check if any of the device is using classic Bluetooth other than BLE. Those might get affected due to interference.

    Kind Regards,

    Priyanka
