Still cannot find PPK2 in nRF Connect 3.11

When I connect my PPK2 to my computer, it will not be detected:

Luckily there are instructions on how to downgrade to nRF Connect 3.7 in this (locked) thread.

nRF Connect 3.7 is getting a bit old, so I thought it would be good to upgrade to the current version 3.11. Unfortunately now my PPK2 is not detected again, so I wanted to open a new thread.

In the meantime I will have to downgrade to 3.7 again.

Hi Andre,

Are you not able to detect the PPK2 with any versions above v3.7? Also, do you have an external J-Link device connected?

I have tested 3.7.1, 3.8.0, 3.91 and 3.11.0. The only version I can use with my PPK2 is 3.7.1.

Now that you mention it, I do own a J-Link, but at least with 3.8.0 and 3.11.0 the PPK2 is not detected even when the J-Link is unplugged.

Hi Andre,

That is the problem. Windows support has been EOF (End of Life) as of January 14, 2020 and this means that our later applications and upgrades are not tested against Windows 7 anymore.
