SEGGER emStudio git integration

Question

I get nowhere trying to use SEGGER emStudio's git integration with asset_tracker_v2. emStudio seems to think that a solution has one git repository, whereas there are 43 git repositories underneath ncs/v1.9.1. So is the obvious answer that emStudio plain and simple was never designed for a complex project like a Nordic Semiconductor SDK, or am I missing something?

 AFAIK, that is not something that we have used or focused on, instead we recommend using git and west directly. http://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/1.9.1/nrf/dm_managing_code.html# 
 PS: From nRF Connect SDK v2.0.0 nRF Connect for Visual Studio Code extension IDE has replaced SEGGER Embedded Studio as the default supported IDE for working with the nRF Connect SDK. I recommend using that instead. https://nrfconnect.github.io/vscode-nrf-connect/index.html
