Hi All,
We are developing firmware for our product that is manufactured by an external manufacturing company.
During production the manufacturer will need to program the firmware to the product and test it.
The firmware will be programmed using the J-Link Interface.
We are looking into a way of protecting our IP and hex file so it cannot be copied or read by anyone outside of our company when it is sent and programmed into the product by our manufacturer.
Is there a way of encrypting the hex file of our firmware so it is securely programmed to the device?
Also if you have any suggestions or any other ways of securing our hex file and/or securely programming the firmware into the devices by the external manufacturing company without them or anyone else outside our company having access to the hex file contents, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much.
