Cusom BLE Device With SDK17.1

Hello everyone,

I am developing a product with nRF52840. The board has a magnetic sensor (LIS3MDL), a ToF sensor and a LoRa module (Sx126x).

I have worked with nRF52 products and SDKs earlier (in 2018 and 2019). Since then, I haven't looked at the development on the nRF52 side. So I am having hard time to develop a software. Because it was easier then. There were not qwr and some others. Now it seems complicated to me and I need some clearification.

Now, I want to build a product with this board. Board has 2 different sensors and a Lora trx.

Which sample app I should take care of to build my simple app?

Can you suggest me the simplest example so I can understand what happened while I was gone?

My plan is to create 2 different services and (maybe more) for each sensor and characteristics for each axis and sensor data.

Which sample app I should take as a reference?

What nRF5 SDK did you work with earlier, and why do you need to update?

I used SDK 14.2 and 15.0. The old project was for a different project. And I want to learn about the new technologies.

Hello,

Thank you for your help. It helped me a lot.

Now, I need drivers for the lis3mdl and vl53l3. Do you know how can I find one? I need this because I never used nrf52's i2c peripheral.

In general you can look at the twi_scanner and twi_sensor to get familiar with the i2c. In terms of drivers for those two sensors, then I suggest to search around a bit and see if you can find someone that have made drivers available.
