Updating to BLE 5

Hello,

Right now our application developed using s140_nrf52_6.0.0_softdevice, SDK 15.0.0 for NRF52840 chip.

Need help on migrating to BLE 5.

Which SDK & soft device to be used. Would be great if the compatibility matrix link shred.
Memory foot print for the supported sdk and soft device.

Hi Reedomneck ,

Could you let me know exactly which feature of Bluetooth 5.0 that you want to have ?

S140 v6.0.0 already supported many Bluetooth 5.0 features for example 2Mbps , CODED PHY or extended advertising.

Still we are evaluating what BLE 5 features required and all. Could you please share what are the BLE 5 related features supported by S140 v6.0.0 Sofdevice. Link or info centre path.

Hi,

There isn't much changed in the latest S140 v7.x vs the S140 v6.0.0 with regard the BLE 5 features.
You can find the list here:

You can have a look at the release note .pdf file included in S140 v7.x to find the added feature compare to S140 v6.0.0 to know which feature is not supported.
