How to configure I2C frequency 50k or lesser ?

Hi All,

I am using nrf52840 custom board. SDK version 17.0.2

What value do I need to set in nrf52840_bitfields.h for I2C frequency to get <= 50 k ??

(Line number 13990 to 13996)

Looking ahead for your response.

  • Hi,

You can try 0x00C80000, which should give ~48.9 kHz. Note that other values than the ones listed in the register has not been tested or verified, and may not work correctly. The minimum supported bitrate in the TWI(M) peripheral is 100 kbps, so below this you are operating outside of spec.

  • Hi Jorgen,

If you don't mind, would you please give me the register values for

    ~10kHz

    ~20kHz

    ~30kHz

    ~40kHz

We are doing trial and error method as our one of the I2C peripheral is not detecting.

We have connected 5 number of peripherals in I2C0. Pullup - 500 ohms

out of 5 peripherals, one is not detecting at all in any of our custom board.

This is where we reduced our pull-up resistor from 1K to 500 ohms and trying to reduce the I2C clock also.

    Please give your suggestion
